Except for a restricted license to use that set of home plans for the building of one residence, no copyright or other ownership interest in it is transferred to the buyer upon the purchase of a set of home plans. The buyer does not acquire a permit to build more than one house by purchasing additional sets of that home plan at a discounted rate from the original set or as part of a multiple set package. The same copyright protection applies to purchases of replicable sets. To obtain a release and license for any extended usage, as well as to prevent any copyright or licensing infringement, get in touch with us. While a purchaser of a permitted PDF, CAD, or reproducible is given permission to make copies, it should be reminded that copying blueprints is prohibited because they are protected by copyright.
